Letters to Statler

Dear Statler

we saw you this weekend. all your family was there with us. it was one of the best days ever. you were being so cute and sucking your toes! you had both feet up by your head almost the whole time and it was to die for! your daddy does this really cute thing when hes bored..he grabs onto one of his ears..and at our last ultrasound it looked like you were doing that and again at this one..you had one hand up to your ear the whole time..it really melted my heart. you had the most perfect face.your lips look long and curly like your daddys but plump like mine.and you had such a sweet nose.and chubby cheeks. you are perfect and i have watched the ultrasound video and looked at the pictures everyday since.and i cry just thinking about you. i always knew you were going to be perfect and cute but to actually see, in detail, your face and body, just made it all so real. i hope that you have my eyes.and your daddys ears and his character.i love your daddys character and his heart and i just know that you will be just like him. as im typing this out you are moving like crazy! it is getting closer and closer to our big meeting day! im sewing your bedding with your grandma and painting your furniture with daddy..getting ready for your arrival! we cant wait to meet you my sweet boy. i love you so, so much.

love
momma

looks like you are smiling.. and look--there is that left hand up to your ear
both feet up to your head..check out those cheeks and lips!

i love etsy...

...maybe too much.im constantly on it.
i have a big huge wish list of things i want to get for statler
one by one i am buying things off that list.
its very tempting to buy things in 0-3 month sizes but im being practical and purchasing sizes closer to 12 months.it will be hard to just stare at these little gems and wait for the day he can show them off. here are my adorable purchases of the day..

i just love these little shoes. arent they adorable??

when i saw this i HAD to get it. there arent many baby clothes that really excite the mr.neumann but let me tell you when he saw this he looved it. so much he has told every one of his friends about it. now what guy goes and talks to his buds about baby clothes?!

i completed the items on my list very quickly. now im just enjoying this lovely day with my doggies before we part ways and go to spend the holiday with my family. heres to hoping that tomorrows ads have some really great deals in them!

feeling a little overwhelmed today.
Im closing in on my second trimester.
The weeks between today and when we meet our little one are getting smaller and smaller. we have so much to be excited for and so much to anticipate, but i have a hard time enjoying it to the fullest.
my husband is still out of a job. going on 3 months now.
(and i must say-i have the sweetest husband and he definetely isnt out of a job due to lack of effort.and while he is spending more time at home he is really showing up and helping his 7 month-crazy hormonal-lazy wife. and he still loves me)
it is stressful to say the least. one thing i have learned is, of course, to completely trust God in these times. i wish it was as easy to do as it is to say. for some reason trusting Him with our financial situation is always hard for me. But there is nothing else we can do. just pray.and pray some more. and have faith that, like all other seasons of our lives, He will see us through. we have been through much more difficult times than this, and one thing remains the same: He is faithful. so my hope is in that.

:::God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits,
to the woman who diligently seeks.
It's a good thing to quietly hope,
quietly hope for help from God.
It's a good thing when you're young
to stick it out through the hard times.
Lamentations 3:26:::

on a lighter note...
i get to have one of my favorite meals tonight..
enchiladas!
and no im not going to a mexican restaurant..the best enchiladas ive ever had belong to my best friends mother. and tonight, megan is making them for grant and i. and dinner time cannot come soon enough tonight.
so i am excited to end my day of anxiety and stress with some delicious homemade food.and great company.
and then tomorrow comes a hectic day. its a special kind of hectic day. you know the days when you are going out of town and you have countless things to do..here is my list:
1. clean the house: because who likes to come home to a dirty house??
2. car wash.change oil.new tire. i hate car maintenance. h.a.t.e.i.t.
3.pack clothes for myself and my dear husband. yes i pack for him.i love him tremendously but packing is just not something he can do.he always forgets the most important things. so we end up going out of town and then having to buy stuff.like sweatshirts. or underwear..so i save myself the out of town trip to target and just do it for him.
4.drop off our doggies.

now, to a non-pregnant woman this seems like the easiest list ever. but im dreading it. just typing it out makes me tired! whew. thank goodness i get some yummy Thanksgiving food in return for all my effort..plus family time.plus, maybe, a little (very little) black friday shopping.

happy thanksgiving friends!

If you need to warm your soul...

I plan on adding the ingredients to my grocery list this wake.

The weekend is over..

And as I sit here in my snuggies, curled up to a warm fire, sitting with my dogs, feeling a little mister roll around my tummy and listening to my husband make sweet tunes in the other room I realize that I have so much to be thankful for. All my favorites. My must-haves, cant-do-withouts..are in this room. That is so lovely.

Speaking of lovely..
I watched a movie this weekend with Mr.Neumann..It is called Lovely Still.. It was really a great movie. But girls let me warn you..you.will.cry. and not that kind of cute romantic cry. the ugly cry.(you know what Im talking about). But seriously, watch it! Just look at how cute and cuddly the lead actors are...

Besides crying and snuggling this weekend, I shopped. Not major shopping, but it was a great pick-me-up and I think I have filled my shopping void for awhile now...
well, at least until the day after thanksgiving...
Here are my 3 favorite finds

1. This jacket..I think at the start of every Winter it is only appropriate for every girl to buy herself at least 1 new jacket. And where better to go than Forever21. I think this will be a jacket I can enjoy for the Winters to come..its a pretty timeless look if you ask me. and quite worth the long lines

2. A bassinet!! I am so very excited about this one! I had seen this on a few websites and fell in love with it, but because of the price I just forgot about it..until I found it as the daily bargain on www.mommabargains.com! 55% off!!! I was so excited to say the least!

3. And this darling little image. I got it on www.etsy.com and I cant wait to hang it on the wall in our home. It is so simple but with such a deep statement. And it is so true. I do love my family. My cute little growing family. We are so cute.

Goodnight friends. Sleep tight and have a beautiful Monday!
